Big night, big day

Yes! It is finally a dream come true! Forgive me if this blog is funny sounding, but I just got back from the celebration party (too much tequila)…my art exhibit is finally up and happening tomorrow! I am in awe. The Lord is so good to me…in the ten minutes after the paintings went up I received offers to do exhibits in China and the US, designs for prestigious company logos…I don’t care if any of the paintings sell, really. Well that would be awesome, but at this point I am happy just to be actually doing a gallery. Finally, I am decorating a wall for the world to see…and it’s so fun!
I wish my family were here to see it….and all my best friends. My friend K. was amazing. She helped me get everything set up, did my press release and finalized some papers before our big day tomorrow. I will be doing interviews with several papers. We’re going to try and get the most mileage out of this as we can. Finally, this forgotten tribe has a “voice” and a way to get their plea out to the world. I am listing all their needs and ways in which the rest of the world can help their community. They are probably the poorest people in the country, and I’m honored that I can help them by drawing attention to their plight. Just making last-minute preparations. People who have seen it so far are loving it. I’m excited just watching their reactions; I feel like a little girl getting all sorts of fun treats. It was, of course, cause to celebrate…
…although at this point I’m not sure if I’ll make it to my 9:00 am newspaper interview. ![]()
