More Brasilia Trip Highlights
Well I’m back in Brasilia for the first time after having lived here 11 years ago! I’m starting to feel old, thinking back and seeing my years as a week or two ago! Ha!
I think I had forgotten how beautiful the city is. At the same time it doesn’t feel quite right because the economic and social state of the country is so different from what you see here in the capital. I guess it’s better to just enjoy the stay and not give these trifles so much thought. The city is so organized and clean and the architecture is impressive! If I ever get a chance I’d like to bring my kids to visit here.
The homes here have treated us so well. Maybe it shouldn’t anymore, but the fact that we [in the family] can just walk into any family home and feel like it’s just that–home–still amazes me. I imagine its something almost unique to The Family, but I wouldn’t really know.
We were invited by all three homes here in Brasilia to stay over or have dinner there, etc. So now we have to organize our social calendar to make sure we don’t offend anyone. Anyway, it’s nice to meet new people and see old friends here.
