Living the life

Well, things here continue to be exciting. Imagine this! Recently I have had tea with the king, dinner with the queen, and today… lunch with a prince! I feel like a little girl at Christmas time, gleefully unwrapping the presents God has given me. I just pray that with all this excitement, I can continue to keep my head rested on the Lord’s shoulder
and not too high in the clouds! I know that it is only His grace that has taken me this far and enabled me to be blessed with such a wonderful life.
What’s been happening recently has been so amazing and I continue to be in awe. This time last year everything was so painful; I didn’t want to continue on with the missionary work that I do, working for God and others out here in Africa. It Seemed that the losses were too great. Thankfully today I can look back and I realize that EVERYTHING was worth it.
There’s a famous quote: "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose". I find it so true in my own life. And like Martin Luther said, "Everything I have tried to hold to, I have lost. But what I placed in God’s hands, that I still possess."
For me, this year has been just that.
