Two Frogs

I’ve been working with the five to eight year old children in our home to form a performing group. They’ve already learned to sing five songs—including choreography—and we started learning another one today called “Two Frogs.” This is a story in song about two frogs that accidentally fell into a can of cream. One of them gave up and drowned while the other refused to quit and kept on swimming until to his surprise and delight, he had churned the cream into butter and was able to hop right out—a lesson on not giving up.
Tomorrow we’ll have our monthly Conectate Meeting, a motivational meeting we hold here at our home once a month for our friends and acquaintances. We teach a class on a different theme each month with songs and skits included. The children will be our “star performers” tomorrow and hopefully (if they feel prepared enough) they’ll perform their new song “Two Frogs” (“Dos Ranas” in Spanish) with their little froggy masks.
