Lost wallet, gained miracle

My good friend and fellow missionary Jere told me last night that he’d lost his wallet with quite a lot of money in it, as well as his driver’s license and a bank card. We went off to an evening Bible-study group we host with a few other homes in the area and during the closing prayer session he asked for prayer that he’d find not only the documents, but all the money as well. I was okay with and had the faith that prayer would help him recover the license and bank card no problem. But the money as well? I definitely thought he was taking it a bit too far and he should just settle for getting his papers back.
Anyway, this morning a guy from the bank called and asked Jere to come by because someone had dropped off his papers there at the bank. Naturally, Jere asked anxiously if the money was there as well. The guy just laughed and said no.
Only ten minutes later the phone rang again and I answered it this time. A rather gruff voice asked to speak to Jere. As it turned out, this man had found the wallet and since there was no address or phone number in it he had taken it to the bank and turned it in. At the bank he’d gotten our number and phoned us to get our address, as he wanted to come by and DROP OFF THE MONEY! We discovered that he lives right in our area and he came by almost immediately! He said he didn’t know if he could trust the man at the bank to be honest so he’d decided to return the money personally. Quite an amazing answer to prayer if you ask me! He could only chat for a little while, but he did sign up for an Activated subscription and asked as a reward that we pray for him and his family. We did, and do!
