It’s Friday

Its Friday! Friday nights are great because Saturday is my day off. Well, more like my day to sleep in late (8:30 or 9:00), lounge around the house and spend time reading and receiving prophecies from Jesus–just me and Him
. Today, aside from teaching, I planned an art and craft activity curriculum for the next two months, and to be honest, I think I am more excited about it than the kids are…lol. I’ll be rummaging through the house to see what else we can use to make crafts with. Actually, what I’d like are some charcoal pencils.
Then I cooked dinner today. It’s been awhile since I did that! I enjoyed it, making soup, salad, and stir fry. Don’t worry, I toasted some garlic bread for starch so it was a balanced meal. Cooking for so many people (25 of us here) means it takes a little time. And you can’t just make what you like, it has to be something that everyone will enjoy. Still, at the end of the day nothing beats seeing everyone enjoying your meal. Very worth it!
The kids will be performing at a school early tomorrow morning; they’ve been practicing quite a bit for it. I’ve heard the lyrics: “be the the best you can be the best, be the best of whatever you are” play at least 35 times now. I’m so proud of them as they have their dance moves down really well and they’re looking quite tight.
