Reading/thinking

Reading a Mo Letter called “Whose Slave are You? God or Mammon’s?” this morning that made such complete sense and totally lifted me. I wasn’t even born when Grandpa (aka. MO, David Brandt Berg, founder of The Family International) wrote half of his writings, and occasionally I go back and reread it and am amazed at how timeless it is. If you’re interested you can check some of them out here.
Lately I have been feeling some financal insecurity. I mean, I don’t lack for anything, but I guess living by faith really does take faith. Choosing a life like this is not really a decision you make once, but something you commit to everyday! A few close friends of mine have been questioning what I am doing with my life and how little I have to show for it materially. But like Matthew 6:19-34 says:
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth & rust doth corrupt, & where thieves break through & steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, & where thieves do not break through & steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
So for those who are wondering, that’s where my heart is, and my treasure too.
