Life in The Family International

I feel so blessed, I have been having way too much fun. Well, actually the jet lag wasn’t that great and neither was the lack of sleep. But I gained a whole day, and that felt good. Met a few nice people on the flight, and I exchanged cards with a girl from India that I will meet up with when I get home. She was amazed I was born and brought up as a missionary in India and that this was my first visit to Canada, I guess that’s pretty abnormal, and I LOVE it (the being different part).

My big bro (who lives here) picked up my mom, sister and I at the airport. Really pleasant weather here in Vancouver. So far we just just been eating lots of my grandparents great cooking, catching up on sleep and meeting more of the relatives. We’ll be going to the Indian embassy to take care of some legal work, and then out camping in my uncle’s trailer. No one can say I lead a deprived life.

PS: About the piercing… I took it out cause it was irritating me (and I was a bit paranoid about infection) , but I haven’t given up, I will do it again, at least I live to fight another day. You will see a pic soon enough!!!

Deepa is a member of The Family International and is a missionary, tutors a group of 4 teens, does social and humanitarian projects, markets educational products, sells Activated magazine subscriptions, does Christian counseling, sing for a band, part time secretarial work, and other things too because my life is full of surprises.
