Bible study & band practice

Joni writes: We’re getting a band together (another one :)) for our weekly Bible studies, and this morning we held our second and last practice before the Bible study tomorrow. We’ll see how it goes…
It’s fun though! I guess that’s about all the time I really have to “be in a band.” I’m playing rhythm guitar and singing and I’m glad to be able to have this practice with the guitar. I love playing guitar but haven’t had that much time to sit down and practice unless I’m pushed into it like this and it’s great to get all the tips etc. from my pro husband.
In the afternoon we took the children out to meet some of the people in our neighborhood and introduce ourselves. We went door to door and told them about our missionary work here and invited them to our study tomorrow night. The children gave each person a tract and they prayed with three people to receive Jesus. The kids didn’t want to stop and wanted to keep going to the houses and meeting the people. “Just one more, just one more,” they kept saying, but I got tuckered out
. I’m so proud of them for being outgoing and winning souls on their own! For family time tonight we went on a “special times walk” which is what the kids call it when we go on a walk and get an ice-cream or some kind of special snack. I love my kids! It’s been a long day but a happy one!
