Life in The Family International

Been home for a week. No more Jet lag… Been just spending time with the kids and reading lotsa Word.

The last five months all the 12-16 year olds have been part of a competition to see who could get the highest number of Activated subscriptions. I have been taking the teens out occasionally, and following their progress. For this last month all the teens have been meeting up at one home, praying and then dividing into groups of three (two teens and one adult).

Last night was the last night of the Race, so the air was quite electric and everyone wanted to do the best they could. In two hours my team won eight souls, got out ten tracts, and sold 30 magazines. Many of the other teams got subscriptions too. By 9:00 we took the teens to an Ice-cream parlour and they compared stats and just chatted with each other. Haven’t done that for awhile so it was refreshing, and also wonderful to see the young teens so bold and excited about Activated.

Deepa is a member of The Family International and is a missionary, tutors a group of 4 teens, does social and humanitarian projects, markets educational products, sells Activated magazine subscriptions, does Christian counseling, sing for a band, part time secretarial work, and other things too because my life is full of surprises.
