Life in The Family International

Joni writes: We are happy to announce the birth of Frances Myers. Number 5!! 4th girl! Born August 26th, 11:30 am, weighing 3.4 kilos (7.7 pounds) I did it again!

Yes! I made it through the labor… I DO NOT remember it being that hard with the last two. I guess after my last one (only 2 hours of labor) I was expecting that or shorter. Probably partly psychological that it felt that difficult. This one lasted around 8 hours. Oh, but it’s so wonderful when it’s over and I see my beautiful baby, so cute and healthy. I mean, it’s just the best feeling when it’s over. I feel so…victorious!

I had my first home birth with some very good midwives. It was great! I could do what I wanted, be where I wanted and not have to go anywhere. One of the dear ladies I live with is a doula (which is basically means a birthing coach) and she was tremendous and helped me so much. And my dear
husband, well he was just the best as always, keeping everything comfortable for me in the room, pushing on my back when I yelled for him even lighting candles around the room and bathtub where I labored for quite a bit of the time. Thank you honey! I love you so so much! And thank you all for your congratulations and prayers. We love you too!

Vas and Joni are members of The Family International and are fulltime missionaries in Mexico. Vas helps to organize outreach, writes, records and produces music, plays in a band, performs and does shows, counsels young people and engages in evangelism.
