ARGHHHHHH!!!!! Had another power surge today! Blew out my surge protector—thank God not the whole computer and monitor like last time. Well this is just one of the every day things to be expected here in Uganda…
I’m really taking a risk writing this blog while plugged straight into the wall without a surge protector or regulator. We live right next to a power supply thing and there was this big blast this morning… it meant that my day was a total waste, couldn’t get much done without a computer. It felt so weird, there was no storm or anything… just a great big BOOM as I was sitting working. And then, blackout.
So the surge protector is at the mechanics right now. Hopefully it’ll come back to me all working tomorrow—hopefully. Till then I am still frustrated with these not-so-little glitches.
