Kaila’s first birthday!

Now I don’t know about other parents on their kids’ first birthday (and their first kid at that), but it was intense for us! I don’t think there was one person left in our home that we didn’t involve…(They are all secretly very thankful that we helped them discover their creative side). But yes, it was rather magnificent I must admit, though I have some serious doubts Kaila had any idea what was going on whatsoever. heh.
Our living room was turned into a mini jungle, with banana trees, coconut trees, hanging monkeys, jungle animals (real fake animals)..you get the picture. The kids had loads of fun, and Kaila loved my lion cake (the highlight of my evening!). Some mothers that we regularly minister to came over with their kids. There was a story corner upstairs, live music, games, lots of snacks, and of course a clown - thank you Johnny, you did great! And Happy Birthday Kaila!
