Vas writes: Ok, so after a long full day and night of travelling we arived in Monterey, where we practiced with our band Creature; Godfrey, Chris, Gerardo and I. Then, after two days of that and some fun little relaxing BBQ’s and outings for our wives we drove up to San Antonio. My wife and the kids came along to stay with her parents who had offered to help her with the kids while I would be away in Europe. I am really thankful for their help as I wouldn’t have been able to go to EUrock if it wasn’t for them.
We caught a plane (or should I say 3 planes, as we got the cheapest tickets we possibly could) to Memphis, then Amsterdam, then Paris. We stayed in Paris for a few days. Yes, we did get a chance to see the sites and people were quite nice, a little shy but nice. The chapter of The Family International in France were also very hospitable and invited us to a delicious dinner.
They actually have a very good band in France called Metanoya. Checkout their site at metanoya.com They were very nice and we became good friends right off. They were also going to EUrock.
The purpose of EUrock is to feed the youth spiritually, mainly through music. It’s like a rock fest. We drove to the black forest and along with about 10 other bands rocked out for 4 days straight. Just like with WordStock we held classes by day, rocked out by night and relaxed hanging out with a whole bunch of new friends by late late night. I think I averaged about three hours of sleep a night. I don’t know how I made it except because of Gods’ supernatural power. It’s sweet of the Lord to not only help make our classes and concerts a success, but when He also gives the strength to have some time with good company just relaxing—that’s very nice of Him. He not only helps us do what we should be doing but also helps us do what we like to do, most of the time with the exception of when we like to do something that’s way off.
Here are some pics of performing at EUrock and I’ll also try to get some up of our trip in general.

Oh, one little comical thing happened a couple of times. Now, I don’t really want this geting out, but you know what? I think it has already so who cares now, right? When we were in France we slept in a small apartment downtown and Chris and I had to sleep in a double bed together. Not a queen but a double. We were so tired from the flight that we fell right to sleep no problem but the next morning Chris had this irate look on his face and said it was becuase I was grabbing his leg in the middle of the night and he thought for sure I was asleep but it kinda looked like I was awake (I’m a bit of a sleep walker). I assured him I was definately asleep and he had nothing to fear. I told him if it happened again just to roughly push my hand away. It was also very important to me that he knew it was in my sleep. I thought it was funny but he was a bit shook up and said he would rather not have to deal with that so Godfrey shared the bed the next night with me instead and when we were at EUrock it also happened with him. I am used to sleeping with my wife and we got a good laugh out of it but I think Godfrey didn’t sleep that well because he was on his guard. It’s not that funny. (Well maybe a little bit.)
Next post I want to talk about some of the other bands we have in The Family, and especially at EUrock. They were pretty good and it was cool all working together to give a heavy message of commitment to God and being an iconoclast for Jesus.

Vas, that is so you.
By the way, glad you guys made it there. You guys rock. Most importantly though, -you actually LIVE what you sing. (or scream, as is usually the case
