Siblings

Yesterday was a bit tiring… but that’s life here in this household. Dad was away on business and mom, as a volunteer missionary with The Family, was counselling someone in town.
So it was up to me to handle the army at home.
I’ve always wanted kids, and never had any of my own (I’m 24, and feeling that’s too old… but that’s debatable) but now I know why… cuz I come back home and instantly I have a family of my own. Wake up, cross the street, buy bread for breakfast …make coffee, feed the kids, (who are long awake before me) then have the daily Bible Study in our living room. The whole day we do art and activities, since they’ll be enrolling next year in a home-schooling program across the road.
Afternoons, its also pretty crazy, trying to keep up with all their energy. We dance, we sing, they fight, we play. You know, all the usual kid stuff. And at the end of the day, I am sick in bed with a flu, wondering why. Plus, my throat is sore from trying to supercede everyone else’s noise.
Like a cherry on top, my one-year old peed in my lap, as I sat here writing this blog. Wonderful. Just wonderful.
Dear God, please grant me the strength…….!!!!!!!

Hi Nyx. I was just googling volunteer opportunities for the Christmas season. I’m already a volunteer from Canada for a NGO here in Manila. Since I have no family here, I thought I could volunteer for something over Christmas. Do you have any ideas?
