Shake your little tail (download!)
Vas writes: Ok, so now to tell you the story of one of the other songs I wrote for my wife—”Shake Your Little Tail“. It was Christmas time and I was taking care of the kids because my wife had been working really hard and she needed a break. She always does so much and puts her all into everything she does, both kids and recording etc.
So she was resting and I had the kids up in the studio playing with toys. It was then that I had an idea that one of her Chrismas presents could be a recording of the kids saying all the typical little things they say and then I would write a song for her with these things. That was the idea but what the song ended up as was quite a bit different, to say the least. As you can hear, there are no kids saying their typical things in this song, because of the nature of the song (though later I did get a chance to play her what I had recorded the kids saying, it was so cute). So, I recorded “Shake Your Little Tail,” burned it to CD and put the CD in a player with a love note that said “push play”. Then I wrapped the whole thing. When she opened it, she played it and I think it was a surprise for her but she was very appreciative and happy (which I was hoping for).
Anyway, that’s how that song came to be written and composed. The song may not be to everyone’s liking but the important thing is that my wife likes it
