Christmas morning (photos!)

Christmas Day! And what a wonderful day we had! The kids woke up bright and early, too excited to sleep. They dug into their stockings (Christmas gift bags this year– got to the store too late and the stockings were sold out–the kids didn’t care) got into all those goodies and ate chocolate first thing this morning…yuck and yum at the same time. Then once Daddy and Mommy finally got out of bed, we went to open presents.
Rowen and Chad got roller blades which they have been wanting for some time now.

Tiffany and Andie got a very elaborate paint set. Vas being the good Dad that he is, took Rowen and Chad out right away, (after our delicious Christmas breakfast of Crepes with strawberry jam and whipped cream, bacon etc), to try out their new roller blades on the b ball court. oh, I’m so happy to see them so happy. I stayed and painted with Tiffany and Andrea, then we played dress up–my little girls’ favorite play time activity I would venture to say. They call their dress-up high heel shoes “clips”……I guess because of the clip, clip, clip sound they make. “Where are the clips mommy?”
Tonight we watched “White Christmas” (Bing Crosby, Danny Kay) all together, had popcorn too, but not before we lit some sparklers in the yard (the kids loved it and were squeeling with delight)
My eyes are trying to shut as I write this, but Christmas really is for children and it was special to see the children enjoying themselves so much. I felt the Christmas spirit today.
Happy Birthday Jesus!
Merry Christmas everyone!
