Possessed

Vas writes: I’m gonna backtrack here a bit, but one thing I was thinking about Eurock was the fact that as a band we learned something pretty important, and that was to depend on God’s spirit and our spirit helpers & guardian angels to help us perform. It has always been a very interesting point to me how musicians and entertainers who project a negative message and who are in essence Satan’s messengers, have more faith in the demons possessing and taking over their bodies than most Christians have in the power of God and His angels to possess and take over our bodies, playing through us and singing through us.
This has always been a desire of mine and it’s probably because I’m not that great of a musician myself. I’ve tasted a little and have experienced God or His angels, or maybe my own spirit helpers helping me when playing things I know I couldn’t really play if I wanted to on my own, but not at the level I would like. It didn’t really happen until one of our performances at Eurock.
The band had gotten together earlier in the day shortly after attending a class about spirit help and benefiting from the angels and spirit helpers that God wants us to get help from. After talking and taking some time to pray and listen to God, we realized that as a band this was something that we needed to depend more on. So we all prayed together and asked to be possessed by our spirit helpers and the angels that God had assigned to us for this particular event. After doing this we honestly felt different, kind of like being on a high and actually walking in the spirit. We definitely felt possessed. Right before the concert, a really nice guy named David who was coordinating the different bands, offered to pray for us right before we went on stage. So we went into the back room again. Now this guy really knew how to pray and pull down the spirit. It was really cool and you could feel the spirit very strongly. We got out on stage and we played and it was so fun, better than any kind of high. Our drummer who is an Active Member, not a fulltime member of the Family International, was so pumped up on the spirit after we got off stage he said “I didn’t play a thing!” After each song he was just shaking and he said he didn’t even remember playing the songs. He was sure that a spirit helper was playing through him and he’d never experienced anything like that before. He was totally floored! Anyway, I got a a taste of something that I would like to be experiencing all the time, and it’s a good incentive to stay close to God and keep experiencing the highs of the spirit.
