Life in The Family International

Joni writes: Vas and I are on vacation! YES! Our home worked it out that the adults with children could have five days without their children and then five days with their children to have some kid specialized fun! It’s really nice that our kids love everyone in the home and so don’t have a difficult time if we’re not there. I can even walk by them, say hi and leave and they’re completely fine and happy. Amazing! Well, it’s very nice to know that they’re not sad that we’re not around for a few days and that they’re enjoying themselves… helps me not to worry about them.

Of course we still have the baby with us and it’s… it’s… hmmm… it’s challenging, but I am enjoying our vacation with the baby for a few reasons. One: I’ve been able to have some more just mommy and baby time with her, some time just to enjoy her, as many times my attention is very divided between all the children. And two: it’s made us go out a lot because she’s much happier when we’re out-and-about and there’s new stuff to look at and she just sort of falls asleep in her stroller. We’ve had a lot of fun so far being out. I have a feeling if it was just us two without the baby, we’d get stuck to our chairs and sleep in a little too much

Vas and Joni are members of The Family International and are fulltime missionaries in Mexico. Vas helps to organize outreach, writes, records and produces music, plays in a band, performs and does shows, counsels young people and engages in evangelism. Joni teaches her four children, evangelises, performs and does shows, sings and records and assists The Family childcare board. More about Vas and Joni
