Brotherhood Academy

I have just returned (yet again) from a trip to Mumbai, and I am still somewhat there I must admit. I was invited to participate in a one month training program held for 17 and 18 year old volunteers of the Family International which has been dubbed “The Brotherhood Academy”, and boy am I missing everyone there. From the day I arrived there I already saw the tremendous difference in the teens who were there receiving training, not only in vocational fields of their choice, but also in spiritual principles and truths. I see such potential in this bunch of teenagers, they probably don’t – but each one of them has something special, something unique, - they each have a desire to really serve God with all their hearts and it’s from this that the beauty comes.
Have you ever walked into a room and felt a ton of good spiritual energy coming at you? Well, it was so thick and I felt it from second one of stepping in there. One thing this week has taught me, is that I have just as much to learn as these sprightly youngsters. Like many of them, my own day to day routine and projects have been changed, and I know the Lord is asking a whole lot more of me this year – I just pray I will be the sample to these that I need to be! It just seems that He puts me through almost the same thing these guys are going through! Ha! I’m so thankful to be working with young people in The Family, I think we have the greatest bunch of teenagers ever, and with all that fire and passion (and practical training too!) I have no doubt they are going to turn the World upside down for God. TEENS - YOU GUYS ROCK AND I LOVE YOU!!!
Here are some pics of some attendees from our city: Andy, Anisa and KayCee.
