More Family Feast
Joni writes: I wrote earlier that I’d tell you all about our Family Feast. I feel that there’s not a lot to say except that it was wonderful!!! I think I learned some new things about relaxation, discovered new ways to enjoy spending time with Jesus and I had some beautiful, quiet moments with just me and the Lord. I have to say that I probably wouldn’t have had these wonderful, rejuvenating times without the help of my sweet friends that live here with me who took care of my baby sometimes and those that also took a turn caring for my other children—Thank you so much! The love and closeness that I felt from Maria through the audio file talks we were able to listen to was a special treat and it was just such a happy time. The love that she has for us is so supernatural and I treasure it!
Some of our folks drove to a nearby mountainous area to enjoy the scenery and do some hiking. I enjoyed staying home and finding those quiet corners in our beautiful yard. We had an awesome dinner party to celebrate the end of our “feasting.” Vas made some good tasting strawberry daquaris and we had a great time “laughin’and scratchin’” as one of my dear friends would say. Yeah…we did do a lot of laughing. We all picked a name out of a hat a few days prior so that we could each prepare a toast to one of the people in our home. I was so touched by the toast my friend gave to me. We played some crazy games afterwards and had a good time. It was a beautiful and fun evening, and awesome feast!
