Life in The Family International

Haven’t blogged much lately as basically things at home have been pretty busy. The weather is hotter, the days are longer, and the kids are needing more challenges to keep them busy in the summer.

I’ve been feeling that I should not default so much to putting on the TV and the Disney channel too much when we have little to do in the evenings. We’ve been working on doing united activities as a family to fill in those free spaces of time. The kids like it much more, too… they look forward to evening classes, extra story time, and any little bit of input I can give them. It’s a challenge because in my family, we have every age range, from baby to teen. So keeping all of them occupied is a feat that mom usually performs quite well, but this weekend we wanted to give her time off. She went for extra rest in another Family missionary Home for three days, and… WE SURVIVED!!!!!

Nyx is a vounteer Missionary Member of The Family International. Her missions have taken her through South East Asia, India, East Africa and South Africa. She currently runs charity projects for terminally-ill, indigent children in The Philippines and is also a child-education consultant, youth counsellor, freelance writer for TV, radio, magazines, a voice-talent, illustrator, artist, Events Host and Music Marketer. She is the eldest of 13 siblings, and a Taurean who enjoys spicy food, open-bar nights, long baths, photographing people, and throwing festive parties.
