Growing fast

When I came back home to the Philippines last November, my family was just coming out of a crisis, and coming back to serving the Lord fulltime. After years of being apart, it was something new for me to learn to work with mom and dad again, and to “rebuild” our Home. Five months later, I feel a decade older… and I don’t know if that’s a good thing! Every day has been a test of faith for me, and with so many different aspects of life to think about, from teaching school, to outreach, to teenage issues, to paying the rent… the best I can do is just LET GO AND LET GOD.
It’s easier said than done of course, but I’ve learned that His strength is perfected in my weakness. We focused last week on making our schedules organized, and giving the kids better curriculums. Unlike other Family International Homes, we live on our own and do the best we can to serve the Lord as missionaries in the different ministries he’s given us. It’s a different ballgame, and we learn new things every day.
On some days, though, I wish there were someplace quiet I could go… ![]()
