Acapulco scouting
Vas writes: To catch you up, as you know, we’ve been working on opening up a new Family home where we can work closer together as a band. Our drummer who has been an Active member for quite some time is going to join our home and become a fulltime Family missionary. So Joni and I have been checking out some areas down here, more in the center and the south of Mexico. Right now we are in sunny Acapulco checking the situation out and if it’s a good place to do the ministries we have in mind and a nice place for the kids.
It seems pretty nice, a nicer town than we thought it would be but we’re not completely convinced that it’s the place for us. Of course we can’t make the final decision, we’re just checking out the situation and then as a team we’ll pray together and make a decision of we’re were going to be considering all the factors. Because of the fact that the last month has been quite hectic and my dear wife Joni has been with the kids while I’ve been off getting a van, she and the kids are due for some serious rest and recuperation, so scouting out new territory is also doubling as a bit of vacation time as you can see in these pictures. Here’s also a picture of me and the kids washing the van after a day at the beach to get all the salt and sand off of it.
