The Distinguished Gentlemen

In the course of our work we are able to meet many interesting personalities, especially so at the 5 star hotel that we sing at on Saturday nights. They range from politicians to young yuppie types to upper middle-class families to travelers etc. Every weekend I enjoy just observing the many different personalities that all seem to congregate at this hotel, which is one of the best in India. This last Saturday was special, because we met two men who we will call ‘The Distinguished Gentlemen’.
Sunny (a young Family volunteer) was eagerly manning the stall outside the restaurant, where we display different Family products and are able to meet the guests and explain our work to them. The night before we were having a finance meeting at our home (yes, one of those
) and we were discussing when was the last time we experienced a jaw dropping miracle, and we had to admit it had been at least 2 months or so which was a little too long. So we prayed to meet someone special, or for some other miracle of supply etc.
To make a long story short, we had two men from one of the Gulf countries come and clear our stall of every item it had and they begged us to bring the whole set of VCD’s the next day so they could bring it back for their kids. The real miracle in all of this (as happy as we were to get our products out) was that we were able to connect and begin a special friendship with them. We had dinner with them that night, and explained our lifestyle, our love for God, the way we hear from Him and much much more. They really are Distinguished Gentlemen, in that we think there is alot more to them that meets the eye and they have a very mysterious dignified air about them. When praying about them, I got that title for them and also that this was just one step of many steps that we will take it bring them closer to God.
They are coming over for dinner tonight where our children will perform and we will explain more about the Family. I’m so excited to see the effects of our prayers, and thankful to the Lord for letting us meet these people. There’s nothing more exciting than putting God’s Word to the test and seeing it work for you. I will let you know how the visit goes tonight and any updates!
