Guadalajara

Joni writes: So we saw Guadalajara a bit. I’ve been rooting for us to open our home in a big city. (Yeah I’m a city girl.) Guadalajara is the second biggest city in Mexico…so I guess it had that going for it in my mind. We liked it, but I mean it’s not like it just stuck out to me like “THE perfect place” but then again you can’t really get to know a city in 3 days. The hospitality of the dear folks and fellow missionaries that took us in there was exceptional and we had a real relaxing time too. They have a nice property with a pool and big outside play places for the children. So as far as knowing where we’re going to open our home, I feel that the Lord is just leading us step by step and that He’s going to make it plain to us and of course we need to know soon. I’ve gotten a little discouraged and impatient a couple of times during this whole time of waiting but when I ask the Lord about it, He tells me that it’s just part of the process sometimes of finding His will, that we have to examine all our options and right now we’re at the point of not having a real solid preference of where we should be so I guess that’s good in a way as we’ll be ready to find out what He wants.
