Wordstock III – Day 1

Vas writes:
Yesterday was far out! First day at Wordstock (a week-long music festival for youth in The Family International)and there was a lot of excitement in the air! As soon as we arrived and looking over the band schedule saw “Vas and Joni†(current “name†of our band) on for the first night, we got together to practice right away, we didn’t feel ready. We had hoped to get a bit of practice time during Wordstock and maybe perform a little later on down the line. But all things worked together for good.
Salt of Earth kicked off the night and they TOTALLY ROCKED! Awesome, Awesome band! Heavy songs! It was a real miracle that the Lord helped us get everything together and even as Salt of Earth played, I worked on tweaking the sequences to our set. We were on next. I was a bit nervous as we were about to start that I’d remember everything but I’m really happy with the turn out. We did something a little different and played along with a sequenced track. We performed some numbers that people were already familiar with and a couple new songs that Joni wrote. Joni did great and the crowd seemed to like it and most of all we enjoyed ourselves.

[...] As Mike has already pointed out, Joni has been blogging a little bit about Wordstock III over at LivetheCreed.net. At this point, as far as I can tell, this is “exclusive content” with info on Wordstock unavailable anywhere else! That’s right. LTC is the bomb. [...]
