Wordstock III - Day 2
Joni writes: We enjoyed another beautiful and fun day at Wordstock. I feel like I don’t stop smiling the whole day—old friends, new friends, motivating classes, great music, it just doesn’t stop! Tonight’s performances were riveting—that’s the best word I can think of to express what went on in the concert hall. We had a cool blues band up first and we were feelin’ that, then on to Haven and the Watchdogs and I don’t know if there was a dry eye in the room after her performance. Besides being very technically good with melodies that were made in Heaven, it was full of spirit and songs with a message that each one in the room could relate to. After that you wouldn’t believe how we rocked to the serious sounds from the band Free—yeah our necks are sore. And their songs and message motivated us to do our best in service to Jesus. In between all that there were other great bands and even a play in another hall that kept us busy and entertained while the sound technicians and musicians prepared for each set. I am definitely enjoying myself! Will try to post pics soon.
