Wordstock III - Day 3

Joni writes: I’m writing this for Vas. He wanted to post about yesterday’s happenings here but he has been busy all day and is now practicing for his final set tonight. Soooo, I’ll do my best.
The whole day he wasn’t feeling well and his voice was almost gone, and Creature’s first set was on for that night. I was really praying for him all day and I think it’s that desperation that allows us to depend on the Lord and thereby have success because their performance was incredible! Nobody could tell that his voice was hoarse and in fact I thought it was almost better. More “gurgally” I told him. (he just laughed at me when I said that—weird!) Anyhoo, they did real great and the performance was very powerful! I know I’m their biggest fan but trust me, they were good.
So they were up first, then we went over to another stage to see Gypsy Child, a band from Nepal, then a very fun performance from JD the rapper (Respec y’all), after that the play continued from last night on the other stage and to end the night another set from Salt of Earth. Exciting but tiring. Vas and I caught an early night, 11:30 being early here at Wordstock.
