LTC: Tell us about a miracle of supply that happened to you? What’s the most amazing answer to prayer for supply you’ve ever experienced?

It’s extremely difficult to say which one is the most ‘amazing’. One amazing one was the ‘Distinguished Gentlemen’ (see previous posts). There is another one however that was a turning point in my life and that has been something I often look back and marvel at.

The Lord had told me last year in November to go to a nearby city on a road trip and to take another young person (Kaycee) with me. It seemed absurd, because she had to visit her family and raise an amount for her fee for the Brotherhood Academy, so I didn’t see the logic of it, especially where I would get the time in-between that to witness and fundraise. My daughter was just over one and was feeling a bit insecure as I had already been out of town for a week for some meetings. I told some people about this trip, and most thought it wasn’t the best.

A week later, (with everyones consent and the Lord’s confirmation) we made our way on a rickety Indian bus to the destination! We had prayed and gotten some pretty high goals for our trip, and I didn’t even have a plan of how in the world we were going to reach that. It was so exciting though to rely completely on the ‘God factor’, we really had nothing else to rely on! I can yet remember our desperate morning prayers, and fervent praising throughout the day- we really tried to do ‘everything in the book’ as we didn’t want to miss out on the Lords answers due to any lacks on our part.

The funny thing, is that we would end up going all across town to pray with someone and get them saved, or Activated, but we weren’t seeing any financial results. In fact everyone that I was counting on in the back of my mind we didn’t even meet! The auto rickshaw bills were mounting (yes, we travel in those things a lot) and still by the third day there wasn’t too much to show for it! The Lord told us to keep praying and praising and to trust Him…..we were like ‘what’s new’, we might as well keep on doing that! Heh! I then remembered a travel agent that I had seen a year before and thought to at least get him Activated and to pray with him to receive the Lord. The Lord showed us that he was the ‘little fish’ but that there was a ‘big fish’ waiting for us that day. So he did pray with us and get Activated, and the visit went quite well.

We then got a call from a friend that I used to know who invited us to his house. Off we went in the dark (it was pretty late by that time, and we were due to do some CD carding in a pub nearby so we didn’t have much time!…we were pretty edgy). We got our new friend to drop us nearby our friends house, who then arrived in a sleek Mercedes sports car! Wow, I was pretty thankful for the change in transportation! We were then whisked to the best area in town where our friend showed us around his house. It was there that we saw the person that was to be the ‘big fish’ who was slowly sipping a rum and coke concoction! Wow, two girls alone with these two men who were drinking. Kaycee and I were a tad alarmed, but the Lord had showed us to come so we weren’t about to back out. I heard a little voice say ‘show him pictures of your daughter and then make him a balloon for his daughter’. I pulled out my photo album and proceeded to do just that. When I made a poodle for his kid, he was flipped out (the Lord really knows everyones key!) and came alive completely. He did in fact have a daughter, and from then on the visit went well. He looked at a Mottos for Success that I had in bag and told us that he would take some, he then gave me the logo details.

The week went on with many miracles, but only one thing was missing. This mans Mottos order. He had said he would take some – now what was some? Kaycee and I claimed in prayer that he would buy 500 of them, because that would complete the goal that we had set. Our week passed and we were not able to get back in contact with him- those were some real trying days where we had to keep trusting knowing that the Lord was in control. Lots of desperate prayer in the bathroom!!!!

We got in the car to drive to the bus stand, and usually all I can think about is how to escape the Hindi movie that comes on about an hour after the bus takes off. But this time I was just praying that we could get through to this guy! By a miracle we called his office and we got through!!! This was just before we were about to leave, and he ordered 500 Mottos exactly! We were so dumbfounded, and the Lord showed us that He chose to do it this way to really show us how it was totally outside our control and to prove to us that us reaching our goals was a miracle and something that He did, not us! It’s not that the amount was so huge, - it was the thrill of stepping out on limb, sawing it off and seeing Him do more for us than we could have done ourselves!
