An appeal

Vas writes: Hey ya’ll. As you know we’ve stepped off the cliff because God said that He’s going to catch us and we are expecting His hand to pick us up and make possible our vision of opening this home as a base to launch concerts worldwide and continue to be involved in missionary and leadership training of the youth as well as efforts to get young people off drugs and doing more productive things with their lives that would benefit them and others.
We have averaged a few large efforts a year but this is not enough for us, we would like to be doing this all year round and refuse to let a lack of finances stop us. Within the month we should be opening our mission base in Guadalajara and it’s by faith because we have under 4,000 dollars to do this. Right at this very moment, what we need is more like 15,000 dollars and we would like to get sponsors that are interested in making a project like ours possible. We will soon be a tax deductible organization, even before we open our center which will be in the next couple of weeks, to facilitate you out there who are reading this to either donate or lead donors to us. We have something in return to offer you who do donate. We don’t expect you to blindly donate and not get any form of enjoyment out of it although giving is very rewarding and I myself have given a lot throughout my life and one particular time gave a very large sum and have received insurmountable blessings because of that. I have seen the “when you give, you will receive” idea not fail in my personal life.
As I was saying about what we want to do for you: you donors who are interested in sponsoring for example a trip to India to train young people to be missionaries and give them an injection of inspiration by holding concerts for them are welcome to accompany us. We have a lot of fun in the Family and in my opinion it doesn’t compare to a vacation in Can-Cun during spring break. When you’re doing something for others and on top of it are in an exotic place having a fun party and relaxing at the end of a full day, sipping a beer together and getting to know first hand a controversial new religious movement, I would say it just doesn’t get any better than that, maybe because I really enjoy what I do and being a missionary in the Family.
And if you’re interested in a taste of this or want to know more and see first hand what we’re all about or personally ask any question you would like to, I would like to challenge you to come with us on one of our trips or come down to Mexico with us and while you’re at it why don’t you give us a large or semi-large tax deductible donation so we have enough to be able to do what we are called to do. One thing cool about the Family is that there is no generation gap or at least we try not to let there be one so you are invited young or old, it doesn’t matter. Recently someone donated a brand new 15 passenger van and came down to one of our mission centers in Mexico city, stayed with us for two weeks accompanying us on our outreach, our performing, our home life and charity efforts, besides the fact that he felt this visit brought a lot of meaning and depth to his life the phrase I remember from him most was said as we were eating Christmas dinner together having a glass of wine. Over a toast he said “You guys know how to live.” And I like to think that we do know how to live. The bottom line: we need your help to make this possible. If you have more questions about our vision and this project, we’d like to help you in any way we can and if you can’t come to us, we’ll come to you. Right now we need 15, 000 dollars just to start out. Maybe the Lord is moving you to help.
Editor’s note: If you are interested in helping Vas and Joni financially, you can give to them directly via their paypal account. Donations do not go through anyone’s hands here at Live the Creed and we like to keep it that way. ![]()
