Going up to Kodi

Wow, it’s been busy! And I have been so delinquent in keeping you updated on what goes on on this side of the world. Well, the latest talk is the AIP program (see earlier posts for explanation of the AIP)… probably because we are smack in the middle of the program and we are doing something way cool for our city meet. A city meet is a fun activity that happens every month with all of those who reach the minimum amount of points. For example an Activated subscription is 50 points, and so on so forth. A big gang of us from our city (my beloved husband is coming along this time too, which is great news!) are piling into three rather cozy vehicles (considering our numbers!) and driving up to a hill station called Kodi. If you live in a city in India, this is WONDERFUL news because it means you will be breathing fresh, clean air and be out and about in mother nature with space all to yourself. And it feels pretty darn good!

What will we be doing in Kodi? This will be somewhat of a minicamp. We’ll have a bonfire out side on the first night, singing songs and having fun. We have a few surprises up our sleeves but can’t tell yet just in case any of those attending read this post! The next day will be inspirational reading and sharing different experiences that have taken place during the program. We will then pile (yet again) into our trusty vans and go down the winding mountain trail to the hillstation and begin something of a treasure hunt around the city. (If any of you watch the TV series called the Amazing Race you will get a picture of what this entails, of course on a much smaller scale.) Well, I shall tell you all of the adventures when I return, as I will be incommunicado in the mountains for two days. Until then here are some photos of our last city meet. You can see some of our wonderful young ppl! Cheers! Oh yes, we are also having a barbecue and a dance… Da da da La la la Yum Yum Yum (to the food that is) :-)

[...] Back to our regularly scheduled programming… There’s a bunch of new posts over at Live the Creed that you should go and read. Things were quiet there for awhile because of all that was/is going on with our bloggers in their part of the world, but they’re all back in the saddle and full of stories to share. There’s also a new editorial up by yours truly. Go check it all out when you have the time, and link to the site if you don’t already. Pretty please. [...]

sounds really fun, and I like the pictures. I know how much preparation is involved in such things. Our home is hosting a camp for the 12 and 13 year olds. We are also handing out gifts to the AIP winners. Its amazing to see all the kids so happy to win souls and so excited to get out every day to do so. Yesterday a 12 year old come up to me to tell me some of his testimonies about how the Lord made him win the program. It was so awesome. Im the cook right now, and honestly its alot of work but just seeing how thankful the kids are make it worth it all. – Love you and miss you tons sis!!!
