Life in The Family International

Since there wasn’t a phone in the house in the mountains, we would drive into the town of Tapalpa every day to communicate with our house hunting team Vas and Godfrey. So we were so excited when the day came that they
told us “I think we found the house!” They came “home” that night and had filmed it and taken pictures so that we could see right away. It’s no small feat to find a house big enough for all of us and a nice place with a rent that’s affordable. I believe this house is just a miracle that the Lord had waiting for us. We all went out to see it the very next day and it was beautiful. The Lord also confirmed to each of us when we took time to ask Him, that it was the place that He wanted us to live in and base our ministry out of.

To tell you a little about the house, it has a pool in the front yard, a very nice big back yard lined with trees, 7 bedrooms, a beautiful big kitchen, cute fireplace in the dining room and it’s brand new, never been lived in.

The Lord really did a big miracle for us when Vas and Godfrey met the owner as needless to say he was asking for a rent that was above what we would be able to pay and so we made an appointment to meet him and explain to him our work and see if he would agree to lower the rent. The owner was a very nice man who was very interested in our vision to reach Guadalajara with music. He seemed to really enjoy talking with Godfrey and Vas and also seemed to be very well to do and respected. Well the Lord did His miracle and out of the kindness of his heart, the dear man agreed to let us pay much less then he was originally asking for.

So, we are about to move into our new home and we are very excited. More updates and photos on the way!

Vas and Joni are members of The Family International and are fulltime missionaries in Mexico. Vas helps to organize outreach, writes, records and produces music, plays in a band, performs and does shows, counsels young people and engages in evangelism. Joni teaches her four children, evangelises, performs and does shows, sings and records and assists The Family childcare board. More about Vas and Joni
