An opportunity in every obstacle, part 1

Well, here we are. We’re doing the last minute things. Both semi-trucks that were going to take our stuff from Cuernavaca and Monterrey to Guadalajara fell through at the last minute and we found out we were going to have to pay around a thousand bucks for each load! Needless to say, we were a little discouraged, but when praying about this and other setbacks that we had encountered when opening this new home, the Lord showed us that this is nothing to be discouraged about but rather an opportunity for us to overcome these setbacks.
For me personally, though I don’t like setbacks, I mind them a lot less when I know they are not an indication of being out of God’s will. So whenever something goes a little wrong or doesn’t flow smoothly, I like to check in with the Lord and hear from Him about why things are happening the way they are. It was a relief to hear from God that these set backs weren’t an indication of being out of His will but rather Him orchestrating opportunities to learn some very current lessons that we as a Family (and when I say family I mean our greater Family in the Family International) are learning at this time. One of these lessons is about the weapon of praise and how we can defeat the Devil and negative circumstances through praising the Lord and thanking Him for the good in our lives. Focusing our attention on that instead of the bad in each situation, as well as thanking the Lord that He is going to turn the bad to good or fix the bad or get rid of the bad, which is exactly what He did!
So we claimed the Lord’s promises of His supply and like it says in the Word “My God shall supply all your needs.” And He did! And we got both loads shipped for about a fourth of the price that it might have been. The next miracle that we need is a good washer and dryer along with furniture for our house. I would say that the washer and dryer are more what I’d call “an emergency”! Ha! Thanks for your prayers!
