Life in The Family International

B.L.A.S.T. is a yearly camp that The Family International in Mexico organizes for its members ages 14 through18. It is one of the big highlights of the year, so we’re all looking forward to October rolling around… yes, I include myself because I want to go as staff! That means that we’re hoping to send 8 folks (6 attendees and 2 staff members) from our happy, little home.

The goals the attendees will need to reach in order to attend BLAST 2006 are the following:

• 50 Souls (individuals led to receive Jesus as their Savior)
• 50 Mags Distributed
• 5 Subscriptions
• 1 class given or participated in by: performing or playing a song, helping with the presentation of the class, or with a skit.
• Sending in an AIP testimony of your witnessing adventures (with a photo included) or of you giving/participating in a class. (also with a photo included.)
• Spanish incentive: 5 Spanish Salvation verses with reference

Multiply that by 6 and you’ll see we have a daunting little task ahead of us, added to the fact that we have to raise the food and lodging fare for 8 ppl. It’ll take a bit of work, but will definitely be worth it. We’ll keep you posted on how it goes!

After many years of doing office-type missionary work, Florecita is testing her hand as a field missionary. She is currently the counselor of a group of teenagers, does outreach, restaurant singing… and anything that is needed to help her center and its projects keep momentum. She is also an aficionado of photography and hopes that with it she can show the world a little more of The Family International, its projects, and the wonderful people in it. More about Flo
