28th Birthday

I am now 28, and no, it does not feel different than being 27. Here’s a picture of me at my surprise Birthday party. Vas says “Honey, someone’s on the phone for you to wish you a happy birthday” and as I’m on my way to the phone I bump into a chorus of “Happy Birthday to you…” very sweet. It really made me feel loved. We had all my favorite snacks (my husband knows me well)–rum and coke, lemon potato chips with valentina hot sauce and chocolate ice-cream (NOT eaten all together.) oh, and beer of course. Some friends even came over from another home… all the way over late at night to wish me a happy Birthday and bring me a gift. I was very touched. Other great things that happened to me on that day were: my parents called me and we chatted for a long time, Vas put the kids to bed and gave me the night off to relax, I got a lot of nice birthday notes, someone recieved a message from the Lord for me and the people that went to the market to get food for our home brought back a huge boquet of flowers for me. Ahhhh, I’m so blessed.

Happy birthday to my wonderful sister!! I miss you! I hope this year is one of your best. I’m praying for you. Wish I could have been there to celebrate with you, but hope I can see you soon. Love you lots.

28? Really? Somehow I always thought you were younger–you look it! Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and cheers to a brand new love-filled year!

Happy Birthday! Is it really on the 30th? Mine too, I turned 29. (And it feels the same as 28, thank God for that!)

Thank you Nyx. Although I used to hate it when people thought I was like 10 years younger than I was, I’ve gotten used to it and it is starting to seem like a compliment now. I do live a wonderful life and know I will have a great year with the Lord, a husband I love dearly, 5 wonderful children and friends all around.
Thank you also Charity.
