Typhoon updates

We got our power back within 48 hours, but for some of the city, it’s been five days.
I stood in line at the grocery mart with just two kilos of chicken to purchase for dinner and waited a whole 45 minutes. Telephone calls from friends came in saying some homes had been flooded and slightly damaged. Our bathroom ceiling looks like someone with an iron fist pounded through the roof, and my brother’s bedroom wall is a bit caved in as well.
Death toll continues to rise, but like the Deputy Director of the Office of Civil Defense said, "Our figures are still very fluid because reports on the effects of the typhoon in some areas have not yet come in." Landslides mean you never know just how many are missing.
Now the typhoon is over in Vietnam, slashing her winds. Hopefully the damages won’t be as bad there. It’s number 13 in the typhoon count for the country this year. Number 14 may be just around the corner. We’re on the lookout, as a new depression has been sighted East of Manila, threatening to blow us over this coming Wednesday or Thursday. Again.
Now I have more drama to write you all about.
…So how’s the weather on your end?
