Our intrepid singing team was invited to visit one of the biggest orphanages in Cuernavaca to help distribute some sponsored books for the kids there. Of course we said “YESSS!!!!” because we love orphans, but also because we have a knack for getting ourselves into hopelessly embarrassing situations. We even offered to sing “the happiness express” and other songs the words to which we did NOT know.
So, yeah, we sounded awful, forgot the words, forgot the movements, confused the kids and had a smashingly good time. Thankfully, the kids did too.

After many years of doing office-type missionary work, Florecita is testing her hand as a field missionary. She is currently the counselor of a group of teenagers, does outreach, restaurant singing… and anything that is needed to help her center and its projects keep momentum. She is also an aficionado of photography and hopes that with it she can show the world a little more of The Family International, its projects, and the wonderful people in it. More about Flo

Some of my fondest memories as a child are of participating in such events. The pics made me smile.
