India, part 1

Vas: Well, I have a confession. I am not a good blogger. Not that it’s a secret or unobvious to any of you… there, now that that’s off my chest, I got to meet Sara in india when Godfrey and myself went to help with the Addfest camp held outside of Bombay (Mumbai). It was very exotic in India and it seemed like not much had changed as far as the country itself was concerned since I had been there about 10 years ago.
One very nice thing for me was to see a lot of the same dedicated people still there serving the Lord in India. People who, though I was there for only two months, I became quite fond of them. I think I was a bit of a rascal back then and was happy for a second chance to prove my love to some of the wonderful people in India. The youth in India are so dedicated and full of the Holy Spirit, prophesying and speaking in tongues with boldness, which was very inspiring to see.
In general, the Family members in india where extremely sweet and accomodating, exuding real love at every opportunity. I love you guys. I met people that I didn’t know before who I became quite fond of as well. Sara, a fellow blogger on this site who lived in India for quite some time would be unaffected by some of the things that happened in India that I wasn’t quite used to, like my amplifier blowing up right in front of me or the driving in Bombay, oh!
The facilities where ADDfest were held were being remodeled which made it a little hard to drive at night. One night we were trying to get back to our bungalow and we had to back up a narrow road for about 200 meters. We didn’t realize there was a steep flood ditch on our right and the two wheels on that side slipped into the ditch. The SUV on that side was resting on the wheel axles. Instead of trying to jack the big car up with two jacks and wedging stones and blocks of wood under the tires in a long attemt to de-ditch the car (I say de-ditch cause I think that is what you would say if in India cause when we were flying on Air India when it was time to get off the plane they said de-plane) we just gathered 15 guys and literally with all our strength lifted the entire half of the car a foot off the ground and slid it over about 1 meter till it cleard the ditch. So it was officially de-ditched.
