Christmas….ah yeah, it’s almost here…I told you before how in the Philippines, every one of the “ber” months is the season. Seems the festivities and decor aren’t as much this year tho….could be a result of the typhoon.

I’m starting up practice with the kids, to put together some routines and carols for when we go around to the hospitals, prisons, and Christmas parties to perform. It’s gonna be fun. The girls are already great dancers. They are big fans of High School Musical and I am trying to convince them to incorporate their own routines in. My little 6 year old flatly refuses to dance or sing…not that he can’t. If I get real quiet and sneak around to peek in their room, I can see him breakdancing away and attempting stunts. Hmmmm…..what can I do to bribe him into performing with his sisters???

These two months just before December are going to be busy with preparations for the Christmas activities. We’re throwing a huge party for the kids with cancer and it’s going to be fantastic! Pooling people together and collaborating resources and talent for this one. Can’t wait!

Nyx is a vounteer Missionary Member of The Family International. Her missions have taken her through South East Asia, India, East Africa and South Africa. She currently runs charity projects for terminally-ill, indigent children in The Philippines and is also a child-education consultant, youth counsellor, freelance writer for TV, radio, magazines, a voice-talent, illustrator, artist, Events Host and Music Marketer. She is the eldest of 13 siblings, and a Taurean who enjoys spicy food, open-bar nights, long baths, photographing people, and throwing festive parties.
