BLAST and updates

What did one frog say to another frog?
“Time is sure fun when you’re having flies.”

Here’s how October went down:

4 attendees and 3 staff members from our home had a blast at the BLAST camp (har har, overused pun) from the 9th till the 14th of October. To those of you who prayed for us and sent well wishes, THANK YOU! The classes were motivating, the people were wonderful, and the music was… loud! (I’m kidding. It was also very good).

I had a happy moment at the camp’s talent night when the girls from my home performed “Ojos así”, which is a belly dance number. They learned it from a dance institute that gives us free lessons, and I think they rocked!

Then, we have a friend who’s life is apparently SO much happier since he met us that he invited us all the way to the other side of Mexico (state of Sinaloa) to introduce us to his family. Well, when I say “us” I really mean 3 members of our team, because I can’t always have all the fun, so I stayed back with the house and kids. I’m a bit kidded out at the moment, but it was worth it.

And now that October has ended and November is beginning we are all about Christmas caroling! Practice practice and a bit more practice will hopefully make us perfect, and perfect is what we need because next Friday we have our first contract to sing at a local mall. Yikes!

So that’s what we’re up to these days, aside from all the other things we’re up to.

Good times, and the girls performance was very good.I hope the trip went well, and I am sad I haven’t gotten to see you guys yet. Working on it. Will keep the rehearsing in my prayers and I am sure things went great on Friday.

Hi, could you give a big hug and kiss to Nai, Paz, Alan, and Kenny for me? And tell Paz that she looks gorgeous! Lv, Mari
