Life in The Family International

Joni: I thought I’d do one of those “random things about me” posts….since I can’t think of something at the moment to blog about.

- I loved Elvis Presley when I was a kid. I still think he was a genius.
- In my pre-teen and teen years I always said that I wanted to have twelve children when I got married. Incidentally, Vas used to say the same thing. Where’d we get that number from? Subliminal knowledge of our destiny?
- My Mom taught me to play guitar when I was 6. I loved it. I played all day long. She also tried to teach me to play piano… I wasn’t interested, and now I say “if I only had…”
- I love Ben and Jerry’s “New York Super Fudge Chunk” (I think they’re also geniuses)
- Astrologically speaking, I’m a Leo, I have a Libra rising and an Aquarian moon.
- I was instantly healed from Malaria when I was 7 after my Dad and Mom prayed for me. That was when I physically “felt” Jesus love wash over my body. I started crying when my fever broke at that moment and remember saying to my Mom, “I just love Jesus so much.” It was an amazing experience I’ll never forget. I was out of bed the next day. I’ve never had a relapse.
- Everyone gets my sister and I mixed up. Even I sometimes look twice when I see a picture of Lisa.
- I dislike hot-dogs.
- I like liver.
- I can wake myself up from a dream if I want to.
- I love to sleep.
- I hate wasting time.
- I’d much rather be in very hot weather than very cold weather.
- I love the beach
- I feel more energetic later in the day but….
- I’ve got to go to bed now.

Vas helps to organize outreach, writes, records and produces music, plays in a band, performs and does shows, counsels young people and engages in evangelism.
