5 Questions About… Christmas!
And we’ll kick off the ’06 grand finale with a 5 Questions About… series on the topic of Christmas. All of our bloggers answer a few questions about Christmas—what it means to them, interesting things that have happened in Christmases past, fun things like that. I’ve already mentioned a few times that Christmas really is the best time to do what we do in the Family International. Since the real meaning of Christmas is still the fact that Jesus came to earth to die for us, saving us forever, it’s an excellent time to spread this good news. People who normally wouldn’t stop and listen often do at this time and starting in November, most Family homes throughout the world dedicate their time to reaching out to as many people as possible.
If you haven’t already, why don’t you take the time right now to ask Jesus into your heart? It’s a simple step to acknowledge Jesus’ sacrifice in being willing to leave the halls of Heaven to come to earth so that He could die to take the weight of our sins off our shoulders. Click here to pray the salvation prayer. Christmas is, more than anything, a celebration of life—eternal life that can be gained by simply accepting Jesus as your savior. It’s not something you can have by trying to “be good” or work hard or try by other means to have the certainty that you will have a life after this one. It’s simply by accepting this gift and praying this prayer that you will have that certainty—the certainty that Jesus will be with you always, and that you will live forever with Him. It’s the ultimate gift, and we in the Family International (and Christians everywhere) want you to have it.
Thanks very much for reading, and all of us at LTC are praying that you have a very memorable and special Christmas and New Year’s celebration. We’ll be back in 2007 with more adventures from our bloggers in the Family International.
