Christmas Highlights

Sara and Vincent

Belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! And to all my friends, I love you guys and miss you especially much during this time.

Well, since I missed out all the Christmas questions I just thought I would jot down some highlights of our Christmas adventures and miracles. This was truly an exceptional season, and though it was exceptionally busy, I can truly say we did ‘what mattered most’ during the season.

• We did a total of 5 Christmas programs in colleges. These featured a live band, a drama about a person’s quest for happiness, lively dances from our performers, and simple but powerful message about the meaning of Christmas.

• 105 people happily subscribed to the Activated magazine.

• A total of 20 shows were done in old folks homes and orphanages. We were able to get special snacks sponsored for each of these institutions that could be munched on during the show.

• 70 visitors to our family home, who got to see the children perform, sing Christmas carols, and eat lots of Christmas cake.

There’s so much I could write about Christmas, and so sorry I could not for the life of me even think of keeping up as many times we had 5 shows a day and had to make some very creative team combinations. I was part of the booking committee and a full part of the Christmas action. Something that is a bit of a tradition in our city is to go around to the other family homes and carol to them and bring them a gift. This year we dressed up like angels, well we tried to at least, and went around. I was especially happy that my daughter sang ‘I’d like to be a Christmas tree’ for all the homes. Another highlight for me was one evening as we were driving home, Kaila piped up with ‘let’s sing Happy Birthday to Jesus’. That was on Christmas day, and I’ve still got the Christmas fever I think. Heh.
