Trip tales

Our trip tales have not ended with the elephants….heh. You know, having another kid on the way I always wonder what will it be like with two kids. Well, having my sister Amanda on the trip with us gave me a little bit of a picture. It’s no piece of cake, but can be lotsa fun if you plan things properly. The place was beautiful and had geese, wild and colorful ducks, and little ducklings strutting around so that sure kept them busy. There was a beautiful lake that we took boat rides on. I was so thankful to the Lord for this time, and I guess for those of you who have kids…..you really appreciate being with them if you haven’t been with them for a while. My two year old Kaila kept telling me ‘Mom lets spend some time together’. It was almost as if she was telling me, ‘you never spend time with me mom.’ This has definitely affected my New Year resolutions, and though I’m sure I will never be the perfect mom I do hope that I will always have time for the children. I was just reading today, how you can tell a great man by whether or not he takes the time for children, whether he has the humility and concern to notice them – of course the Greatest Man of all took that time, so I pray I can too!
Check out some boating pics…
