It's good to not expect the labor to be too easy...which is what I did with my first and wasn't prepared. But you never know, some women do have it easy. Regardless, having a baby always has been the most thrilling experience of my life. I always say when I hold my baby for the first time "I would do that again." But from my limited experience......make sure you bring lots of mints for all who will be helping you with the breathing!!! :-) Something that really helped me in labor was to pour hot water on my back in the shower..........it really gave me some relief for a while.
