BBQ

Joni: We had a lovely afternoon yesterday with two friends we met and invited over for a barbecue. One of them decided to grill all the food and went right to work. We brought our tables outside and had a nice time eating the deliciousness that Mexico has to offer. We had barbecued steak, chicken, chorizo, a beautiful pot of Mexican rice that Spring (and our other friend) cooked, guacamole, salsa, tortillas and of course cerveza! – ay too much food, but those kind of left-overs are never a problem to finish the next day.
They were very interested in our work and our lives and one said “I’ve always wanted to do what you all are doing. Anything I can help you with, just let me know.” They loved all the little kids running around and we had a great time getting to know each other. We all share a love of music so one of them had brought DVD’s of some famous singers/bands, we watched a little of Ricky Martin’s unplugged, and some other very good Blues musicians and then we put on some clips of the Creature band in previous performances. They want to take some of us next week to Puerto Vallarta which incidentally is only three hours away. Yay!
