Life in The Family International

A series of four benefit concerts have been taking up most of my brain space, my thoughts and my time. A brilliant experience though for all involved, and the concerts in our cities just happen to be on the 16th and 17th of this month. The Family is completely in charge to execute the whole thing from beginning to end. A famous musician is in town, and the proceeds from these concerts go to a local charity here. Some different things I learned during the last month while working on this project:

• Presenting larger projects
• Marketing strategies for companies
• Creation of a souvenir for the event
• Details of boardings and billboards (from selling the company the space, to printing on the vinyl, to actually getting them up)
• Auctioning tables for the event

…and lots more. It’s been a well rounded experience, even though the actual programs haven’t taken place yet. There are two days left before the great evening and lots more to do. The next is giving out the remainder of the tickets…and the ever daunting and (not one of my favorite) thought of having to find something to wear for these exclusive events. J

Vincent and Sara are second-generation members of the Family International and are fulltime volunteers in India. Vincent conducts Outreach activities, designs for Family brochures, and helps in the managerial aspects of Family life. Sara runs a Baby School for Family babies and toddlers, organizes open forums and activities for teenagers, does secretarial and organizational work, and conducts motivational classes for students.
