Hi Amos,

I completely enjoyed the Feast, and the spiritual "high" that came as a result of learning to spend more time in simple, childlike faith and trust in the Lord and His Word. About your question, I thought it made perfect sense for Him to tell us that and use it as a physical manifestation of a spiritual truth. "Blessed are they which have not seen, yet have believed." It was a small detail in the bigger picture, which was what I needed at the time to get back to the basics of being here for Him.

I know you have a lot of questions, and so do I at times. But when it really comes down to it, our service for the Lord is something that we have to believe in and do because of a personal experience in faith--faith which is not swayed by man or man's interpretation of the Word. As a Missionary Member (MM) of the Family, the Word is my link and my lifeblood. We could spend time getting hung up on doctrines, but there are so many Christians and other religions already doing that...what we're really here for is to serve HIM and how He has called each of us and allowed us to do that in our own capacity is a wonderful thing.

At the end of the day, you have to find God's Will and do it where He has called you, no matter what anyone says. He's called me to be where I am at this time, and though I don't completely understand, the Keys of the Kingdom have given me the Grace to accept His Will and trust Him for my future. That's the bigger picture; the Heavenly vision. It makes life so much more bearable and a joy!

Hope you had a great Family Birthday, too!

Love, Nyx

Hi Nyx,

I'm not sure what you mean by "physical manifestation" .. there wasn't any physical anything at all. Interesting that you quote Jn 20:29, if you look up 2 verses earlier is the verse where Jesus shows Thomas the nail marks in his hands. But i guess its ok for people to rewrite and reinterpret the scriptures for today? It's one thing (although perhaps equally futile) to rely on the infallibility of our 2 leaders, Maria and Peter, but you know as well as I do that WS has a whole host of 'channels' and so in truth, many of the prophecies we receive were not even received by our Prophetess, and as our very own charter clause only requires us to beleive in Maria as our endtime Prophetess (but still accepting the human factors of a prophet), it does leave a bit of hazy area, for are we now to accept all WS channels as the irrefutable word of God?

You said: "when it really comes down to it, our service for the Lord is something that we have to believe in and do because of a personal experience in faith--faith which is NOT swayed by man or man's interpretation of the Word."

But is that not what you have done in accepting the Keys revelations? In accepting the keys you are changing your faith to fit someone else's interpretation of the scripture (and as i said, not only our leaders interpretation, but various WS channels as well), an interpretation that you did not register before it was placed in the gn's, does that not suggest to you that your faith IS in fact based on WS's, (eg. Man's) ability to interpret and elaborate on the Scriptures for you? Can you honestly say that you would be using, or that the lord would have shown you about the Keys if it had not come from WS?

You said: "At the end of the day, you have to find God’s Will and do it where He has called you, no matter what anyone says."

I heartily echo that sentiment, but do you really believe its that simple? Is it enough for a person to strive to fulfill Mark 16:15 as well as mirror the interpretations in the family's statement of faith, and still be allowed to serve full time in the Family? (Before you answer 'Yes' to that, i might remind you that our statements do not state that we believe Maria is a prophetess, nor do they mention the Keys in any way shape or form.)

What do you think was the discipleship criteria in the early days of the family? (I'm talking about the Spiritual criteria here, because understandably, the physical criteria might be a tad different.) And why is that criteria no longer valid? And who changed it? Was it Jesus? or was it WS?

anyhow, thanks for your patience
Take Care.

Hi Amos, although I'd like to share more faith-building stories with you, it's midnight and I've just finished a long day of teaching seven kids, cooking lunch, trying to work-out, organizing a CTP, stopping in at a birthday party, doing a fundraiser, and sharing God's Word with a friend over dinner...so pretty tired right now...but I just had to smile and say yes, I knew that was Jesus' answer to Thomas and that's the whole reason I posted it in answer to you ;)

Have a great day!

Hello again,

Heh, you do sound very busy indeed.

Yes yes, i get it, you're trying to compare me to Thomas, eg: that i have to see to believe.. it would almost be clever.. except it sorta missed the point. It is one thing doing what God tells you to do, and trusting that no matter what it is, he knows best, and another thing when someone else takes a biblical fact and twists it around to elaborate their own ideals, and then asks you to believe it as from God, when its clearly either contrary or completely devoid of Biblical basis.

Our Group is based on the Bible, and our Religion is Christianity. Lest we forget.

Anyhow, I hope you have a good rest, and i look forward to you addressing the rest of the points in my previous post.

Cheers.

Always nice to see a civil discussion. :) If you do want to debate doctrine though, if possible, please do so on your own sites. I think you both have other personal blogs? Thanks, sure appreciate it.

Yes.. i know what you mean.
I have moved the discussion to my blog: http://myconclusions.blogspot.com
I understand you don't want to spend much time debating doctrine, but if you could just answer the couple of loose ends still left, then you can go right back into your little box.

cheers.
