Some vacation time

Vacation this year was exceptional, and a beautiful time of relaxation, bonding, and family time. Someone asked me the other day what the highlight of my vacation was, and I had to admit that it was definitely seeing Kaila having so much fun in the pool and at the beach. I know that she is supposed to be going through the ‘terrible two’s’, but I just find this age more fun than ever. It’s so amazing to watch your kids reactions to everything around them and to hear them talk with you and explain their experiences is just marvelous!
It was lovely to also just rest up, read, and spend extra time with the Lord. I got to catch up on a lot of things I had to read. One special thing that happened is that a couple of us drove down to a different beach by the name of Palolim. It was gorgeous, the water was very clear and not very salty, the sand very clean, and all the shacks (that’s what the huts or restaurants on the beach are called here) were all up on stilts off of the ground. There was an island just off the bay and they call it the ‘monkey island’. Okay so I don’t want to go there.
Monkeys here can be quite aggressive.
Well, all in all, it was really a beautiful time and I only wish it was a tad longer. Now we are back to work with some amazing projects in the work. I just love India; it’s so full of opportunities and life is getting more exciting every day.
